Girls’ Generation Dominates Japanese Charts with Upcoming Single and Concert Video Pre-orders

Girls’ Generation’s new single, “GALAXY SUPERNOVA”, and the Second Japan Arena Tour Blu-ray and DVD were announced only three short days ago, yet fans have already made these upcoming releases become two of autumn’s hottest items. “GALAXY SUPERNOVA” achieved the number one spot on Tower Record’s pre-order charts, with the limited edition Blu-ray ranking second and the limited edition DVD ranking third.
This release is scheduled for September 18th, which will be the same month as the third anniversary of Girls’ Generation’s debut in Japan with their single, “Genie“, on September 8th, 2010. “Genie” garnered an impressive 80,000 copies pre-ordered and topped the charts soon after its release.
Japan will once again host SM Entertainment’s artists later this year with “SMTOWN Live World Tour III“, scheduled for October 26th and 27th in Tokyo, with Girls’ Generation set to perform.
